Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data RunCoachSync collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Data We Collect
RunCoachSync does not collect or transmit personal data to any external server. All data remains on your device or in your private iCloud account.
The app accesses the following data solely to provide its core features:
- HealthKit data — workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, VO2 max, pace, cadence, and power. Used to analyze recent runs, score training targets, and compute readiness and performance trends. Never shared with third parties.
- iCloud / CloudKit — training plans, profile settings, and workout drafts. Stored in your private iCloud container and optionally shared with people you invite. Only you and those you explicitly share with can access this data.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
- We do not use advertising networks or analytics SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
- We do not track your location.
HealthKit
RunCoachSync requests read and write access to Apple HealthKit. Health data is used exclusively to:
- Suggest workouts based on recent run history.
- Score training plan targets (pace, heart rate, cadence, power) after you complete a scheduled run.
- Compute readiness, aerobic fitness trends, and performance insights displayed within the app.
HealthKit data is never used for advertising and is never shared outside the app or your iCloud container.
iCloud Sharing
If you use the Coach profile to share a plan with a runner, the runner's Apple ID is used to send a CloudKit share invitation. No content beyond the plan data you explicitly share is transmitted.
Data Retention
All data is stored locally on your device and/or in your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes local data. To remove iCloud data, use the iCloud settings on your device.
Children's Privacy
RunCoachSync is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
